When Kyndal Bret bought a car air freshener from Bath & Body Works, she expected her ride to smell like sugary confections. Instead, she found herself paying off a “fat” ER Bill after her accessory exploded, damaging her car and leaving her with chemical burns.
In a now-viral clip, Bret proved just how much Bath & Body branded products gave her the works, alleging she was left with major injuries after her air freshener erupted seemingly out of nowhere.
"POV: a Bath & Body Works car air freshener overheated and exploded in your face so now you have OCULAR DAMAGE AND CHEMICAL BURNS," she captioned a clip of her dabbing her eyes while lying on what appears to be a hospital bed.

But Bret’s face wasn’t the only thing stuck in the air freshener’s blast zone, her car sustaining its own set of damages from the terrifying ordeal.
“Not to mention IT LITERALLY BLEACHED THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR,” she wrote alongside photos of her now-speckled car roof.
Though Bret has largely remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the accident, posting and quickly deleting a video detailing her injuries, we hope that the fragrance giant gets held accountable for detonating a mini bomb in her car. As TikTok commenter Maclaine Noxon so aptly put it, Bret is “about to get a buy 3, get 3. (Luxury vacation homes.)”
